Mary Elaine: This blog has run for well over a year and has followed my training for The Hawaii Ironman on 10/8/2011. Now starting in late October 2011, my blog will be more of weekly happenings. This could be a local race, a family event, or just something I thought was interesting. Thanks for following me on my journey to train for the Hawaii Ironman. I have appreciated your comments. My goal is to start some type of local group such as the one I was in at Kona for cycling/swimming/running where everyone is included and "Slow" people have someone to train with for that day. The local people in Kona,Hawaii met me and were there with me for those long ocean swims and windy cycles on Queen K. Most of them were able to go quite fast, but someone was always there for me so I didn't have to train alone. Hopefully, people will see that the value of exercise is not measured by how far you go and fast you are, BUT by if you show up and go the distance no matter how far you go or how fast!
